| 1950's India Travel Films Online In case you're not already aware of it you may be interested to know that Watson Kintner's world travel films including his visits to India in the 50's are available online at the Internet Archive. http://www.archive.org/index.php
Select moving images at the top and then search Watson Kintner.

| Thank you so much for this treasure trove of old films. I've bookmarked the site so I can go back & watch them as there are so many of India & other places I'd like to see. I never heard of Watson Kintner but he was an amazing world traveler!
I watch one, so far, & seeing Varanasi--then Benares-- looking so uncrowded & pretty tidy was amazing. Not to mention almost no cars. I'm guessing the population of the whole country was under 500 million people since it was 600 million on my first trip in 1975. |
