Hi Panjab
Due to bad weather ( fog), most of the flights reaching after 12.30, it will take at least 1.45 hours to reach Takht Harmandir Sahib from airport, It will be better to stay at Patna at least for one day, if you want to visit all Gurudwaras.

Thanks
alok

back from the visit.

guys back from my trip to India and I had the opportunity to visit Takht Pata Sahib. I took a flight from DEL-PAT / PAT-DEL , I traveled from Ludhiana by car to DEL. Flights were on GoAir, at Rs5000 return, on 24/2/11 not bad as I saved time, by traveling by air, instead of rail. Arrival at PAT, enquired inside at the prepaid taxi counter to the Gurudwara, was quoted Rs500, went outside and was trolled upon by various taxi drivers/autorickshaw drivers, prices ranged from Rs 400 for autorickshaw to Rs 700 for Tata Sumo, so I literally told them "stuff you" and went back inside the terminal and booked the prepaid taxi *at least I knew it was a safer option* as my flight landed at 4.20pm and it was getting dark. Took us around 40 minutes, the Gurudwara is located in inner city kinda of structure with really tight lanes leading up to the Gurudwara.. Upon arrival I checked in with the Accomodation, prefered to stay @ the Gurudwara as I felt it was safer inside, booked the VIP rooms, they are available at 100 rupees a night, rooms were very clean, attached bathroom, hot water.... The Gurudwara building at night is manned by CRP/ Indian Army Sikh battalion, they had the Ak's ... The experience was beautiful, was pretty emotional too for me as Im 23 and I loved it.... Went into the Darbar sahib and listened to Kirtan, it was around 8.00pm and the Patna Sahib Takth Jatedhar Giani Iqbal Singh Ji performed Ardas and also 7Sea Punjabi TV (Patiala Based) have started Telecasting Live Gurbani from Takth Patna Sahib all around the world, this was their 1st day there.. It was an amazing experience, mostly I saw people were in groups from various villages from Punjab and other parts of India... If anyone needs information I am happy to assist, pls feel free 2 pm me or post your questions on the board.

Next time I go to India I would like to visit Takth Sri Hazoor Sahib in Nanded, hopefully after I finish uni....
Cheers!

@punjab, quality of photo does not important. Important is image in your heart & experience you gain here. If both are ok then no problem what is the quality of pictures you have posted here. May god bless you with all his blessings.

Online reservation can be done by visiting Room Reservation page of Gurudwara Sri Patna Sahib ji Maharaj. Rent for VIP-Room is Rs.100/day and General Room booking is free. There are provision of 3 VIP rooms, and 5 General rooms there.
