Where to go in Bangalore?

Hi to ya all,

After one month Indian countryside, this week-end I’m visiting the big city, my first babysteps Bangalore J. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some suggestions for places worth visiting, green spaces/parks, good bookshops, tasty and quality for money vegetarian dining places, cosy not to crowded pubs (Crawl one of them??, the inn I saw in a previous thread, where is it exactly?) …any places better to avoid? And ofcourse, IM’ers with some spare time left, willing to introduce this newbee to their favourite spot would be a stroke of luck, I’d gratefully accept! Someone perhaps planning on going to hipno this saturday evening?
