The theory doing the rounds is that the attack was carried out to scare the foreign investors away!
It would have no effect at all anyway.

Bangalore is Noraml

Life in Bangalore is completely Normal. Infact i was 500 meters away from the IISC Campus when the Incident occured. And No one was aware that there was an attack going on at that time. The Sound of Evening heavy Traffic was more so many people thought that it was some crackers bursting. Only the next day people realised , even me that such a incident happened. But dont worry Bangalore is all Normal. And Hoping for a brighter and safer year Ahead.

I've only been here for a total of five weeks, so I don't quite know what's normal. But when I got back to my hotel today, there were easily 50 soldiers with assault rifles surrounding the place, as well as a bomb sniffing dog. It could have something to do with:

It's been fairly rare to see armed men here (unlike Delhi), so today was definitely not business as usual. The tech companies are taking security seriously as well.

Frankly, I was glad to see the policy/military take things seriously.
