What to do - a stopover of 7 hours???

On a flight from Calcutta to Dubai I stop on Bangalore for about 7.5 hours. Suggestions re: what to do with the time? I remember a posh white stucco (??) cafe/restaurant in Bangalore when I was there in 1975 that was full of British ex-pats who decided to stay in India after "independence". Anyone know if it still exists, and where?

Suggestions welcome.

Is it the Windor Manor? This place is like 30kms away from the airport & would take you more than an hour (peak traffic) to reach.

What time of day or night is the transit ?

You need to check-in 3 hours before for the international leg.

Effectively, that leaves you with 4 hours...To get to the city and back - 1 hour each way...

What do you want to do in 2 hours ?

Agree with ribhu, now with the international airport a good 35 km away from the city you will hardly have time to even dash through the city.
