Aah, going to Bangalore for Bengali sweets, eh!

K. C. Das is quite a bit out of the way from the areas she mentioned. But, perhaps, Bengali sweets deserve the trip!

Anand's sweets, which has locations throughout Bangalore, is excellent. There is a location in Koramangala:
143/A 5th Block, 60 Ft Main Road, Koramangala

the best place for some authentic mysore pak is Venkateshwara sweets in balepet. more info on http://mysorepak.in/
krishna bhavan sweets - Malleshwaram also has got good mysore pak..
also, u should try obbattu.. a chapathi like , with mixture of jaggery, coconut inside.. goes well with combination of ghee , luke warm milk..
tht should be available in Kamat yatri nivas in majestic..
Dhwarad peda, which is available at this place is also good..

Vandy,

Man, you are cool!

An Aussie, who knows and follows Indian cricket, and knows his Bengali sweets.

Very nice!

Never having been much good at some of my language's peculiar spellings, I keep expecting this thread to be about some backstreet factory where low-paid workers spend long hours in dreadful conditions making clothes, or shoes, or something...

Maybe I should go and have a bear. bare.

I am STILL waiting to hear from Kolkattans about the rosoogula
making Machine that was imported a couple of years ago.

WHY ? you may ask.

Well if it's any good I'll drop the hint to Mrs Vandy to consider buying me one for my next Birthday.
