hi there,
i apologize in advance for asking a very selfish question as my very first post. ![]() i am a nepali citizen (tibetan) and want to start a restaurant in bangalore.want to get some tips on how to get about it.i have absolutely no idea about any protocols/laws to follow.i am in a bit of hurry as the trouble in nepal is gonna get worse before getting better . ![]() how do i register the company or tax number and so on...? i would of course be very grateful for any advice and offer a free lunch for a month as an added incentive .lazy_ngawang. |

I suggest you employ a suitably qualified consultant, an accoutnant, advocate etc.
They might want rather more than a lunch or two, though. The Bill for this advice is in the post.

Despite my earlier comments, I wish you well, and I am sorry that you are having the problems you are facing.

LN, you are going to make an exploratory trip to Bangalore, I presume. Living as a student and doing business can be quite different.
Besides a business lawyer and a CA, you will need legal advise on your visa requirements too. |

![]() manreet, franky speaking this is not the best time to go.ethnic tensions between the plain madhesis(ethnic indians) versus the pahadis(mongoloids) are high so be careful. as i said earlier there is strike everyday by some different groups....if you are in KTM you would be bored with constant strikes and violence.besides KTM doesnt have anything worthwhile to see.instead go to POKHARA.it is beautiful and peaceful at the same time... rare nowadays. |

LN, I see that you have given your location as Bangalore/KTM. If you are in Bangalore now, how about visiting a couple of Tibetan restaurants to get first hand information. I know a very small one - delicious steamed momos
- being run by tibetans (I think) in Austin Town's BDA complex. Following link might also give you some information. If you are not in Bangalore, then I can PM you the restaurant's phone number, if they have one. Its really tiny, barely 4 covers.http://www.deccanherald.com/deccanhe...6322006526.asp
