Short weekend trip away from Bangalore

Would really like to get out of Bangalore for a weekend, looking for a resort/ hotel with a swimming pool that I can get to easily from Bangalore. Does anybody have any suggestions? Can't really stretch as far as the Angsana price range but just want somewhere to chill by a pool, read a book and have some nice food and wine.
