Any recommendations where I could pick there up, preferably near one of the main shopping centers so that I can look around at the same time?

Also, I prefer making my own food. I will have a kitchen. Are there any better supermarkets that stock good quality fruit and vegetables? I know there is a large expatiate community. Is there anywhere that stocks food products imported from England?
you can shop at Food World, The Forum, Jayanagar Shopping Complex, Commercial street.....if you want a one stop shopping experience then zoom into koramangala....you get international brands here and absolutely anything you need...

LOL. If you've never been to India, this needs a little explainaing. Completely oblivious of its correct usage, the youth in India popularly use the term freak out to refer to have a lot of fun.

Completely oblivious of the place, some of them, such as you, tend to jump to conclusions and assume meanings to words, in their own sweet way!

LB, don't know about airport shuttles. But, pre paid taxis may be the best options as they are require to keep recordsof passenger name and taxi assigned to them.

Regarding the OP's original question, I would recommend that women do not go outside by alone at night. While it is generally safe in India, the risks generally go up and night. Why take the risk? Espcially when any kind of emergency response provided by the govt is virtually non existent?

Well,Dont we all know, its unsafe for girls to move out during the Odd Hrs anywhere in the world,be it in Groups or single???? Yes,its a fact and some Adventurous Girls do not wanna accept and when they land up having weird experiences, they blame the place and people.

Hence, with Maturity and safety at the best,Go-Ahead and have a good time in Bangalore.

Any place is Safe until U r Secure!!! And when A place like Bangalore, which is safer compared to Other Big Cities in India,Its in your hands next,to see,how to continue to be safe from Intrusion.
