room hunting in Bangalore

Good morning / good afternoon to all Indiamikers!

My name is Glauco and I've joined Indiamike today. I am an Italian translator living Milano area (northern Italy). I will be relocating in Bangalore early in October 2005 and I am looking for a room just for myself, possibly in the area of Ulsoor or Indiranagar. Anyone has any suggestions? I am self-employed therefore don't have a Company providing accommodation. I was in Bangalore last year for 3 weeks and I had a room in Ballal Residency (1,500 rupees a day). This time I need something not so costly for a long-term stay. I've heard of homestay accommodations. Are there any available in B.lore?

Thanks for any hints.

See you in town,
Glauco.

room hunting in bangalore

Hi Sanju,

I will stay in Bangalore from early October until the end of December 05, therefore I'll definitely need a room in B.lore for abt. 12 weeks.

In January 06 I will be off, then I'll probably need the room in B.lore for February and March 06.

Thank you for replying to me,

Glauco

Well.. if you are not very luxurious types and has no problem in sharing the room, then you can stay as a Paying Guest. It will cost you something around 1500-3000 INR per month. You can also pay for the whole room if you want to stay alone. I think for 12 weeks this is the better option. You can buy some local magazines "Ad-Mag" and "FreeAds" and go through the advertisements posted over there.

room hunting in bangalore

hallo phantom,

It is important for me to live alone in the room, therefore no sharing.

The solution you proposed can be suitable. Do you know where I can find a room like the one you described?

Thanks, Glauco

Buy "Ad-Mag" or "FreeAds" available almost all around the bangalore and go through it. It will give you a lot of contact nos. of the agents who can show you the rooms.
