reliable hotel in bangalore

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good (cheap to mid range) hotel in Bangalore? I need to arrange for our train tickets to be posted to the hotel and for the hotel to look after the tickets till we arrive.

Has anyone else done the same thing? Which hotel did you use and how did you go about arranging the hotel to look after the tickets for you?

Thanks

Please advice a range in Indian rupees. Most of the cheap/budget hotels would not receive train tickets for you. So please advice what is mid range for you..

In worst case pm me if you are not able to get any one to get the tickets for you with your travel dates. I can try to get you a contact from IM who may safe keep your tickets till you arrive. I am in Bangalore, but may be leaving this weekend for about 2+ weeks to Europe.

Off topic - This is my 800th post

Congratulations on your 800th post!

Since it will only be for one night and it's important to have a reilable hotel to look after the tickets I would guess we could stretch to 1200 INR (is this reasonable?).

Thanks for the offer, where are you gonig in europe? england? Hope you have a nice time.

I stayed in the "Chandra Vihar" ( "beautiful view" ) ( not what it says on the tin ) in the Old "Muslim" Quarter.. A "buisiness" type hotel - rooms with TV & newspaper in the morning. Decent enough ( for budget 300rs for a double say 5 years ago )

Well located and "efficient" - in that being a business guest hotel, will no doubt accept rail tickets for you..

hmmm, looks a really cool hotel - quite funky! but I think we'd rather be a little closer to the centre (might regret saying that when it's all noisy and I can't sleep!

Thanks anyway
