Palm Leaf Libraries
Palm Leaf Libraries
How come I cannot find any posts regarding the famous palm leaf libraries???
Has anyone been to one of them? I have an appointment with Guruji Manivasakan in Bangalore in May
and I would like to find out if anyone has been there and how the experience was. And how did You get there? The address I have is not really an exact location.
Guruji Manivasakan
Palmleaf Library Sri Agasthiya Mahasiva Nadi
Jothida Nilaya
#9, 3rd Cross, Bhavani Nagar
Opp. Arunodaya Kalyana Mantapa
Bannerghatta Road
D. R. College (post)
Bangalore 29
Problem seems to be that 3rd cross is not the same location as Arunodaya Kalyana Mantapa.
Anyone out there who can help?
Thanx - happy travelling to all of You!

For India, that looks like a very complete address!I don't know this location at all, but the address includes "Opp. Arunodaya Kalyana Mantapa" so perhaps Arunodaya Kalyana Mantapa is just a landmark opposite which is used to refer to the location?
As an example, one of our Delhi meetups last summer was at Essex Farms, IIT Flyover, Aurbindo Marg, and no we didn't meet up under a bridge!

If it was Chennai, you'd then have to ask, is that old No 9? Or new no 9?
How they could have renumbered most of the streets and kept the old numbers on as well is something that baffles everybody!

As Kingstonian noted, if you scroll to the bottom of this page, you'll find a listing of "similar threads." Some of those will indeed address the question.

Indiapeat, waiting to hear about the experience of palmleaf reading with your guruji. How was it? Did you get to hear what you wanted? :P
I would assume you went there as part of an astrology experience. Tell us how did it go?

LOL.. As I expected.. I dont trust anyone who expects money for a astrological favor. It is not science & not proven & hence its just fun to hear & forget. But I am on an eternal lookout to find someone who can tell about my past & my future (future depends on what he says about the past). I have been there about gosh...7 years ago i would say, i i know quite a few people who have been there, some got very accurate information, some like me got nothing but bs, the reason as far as i know is that "the English" burned part of the palm leaves, so when he finds "your" palm leaf, the information is pretty accurate, if he doesn't because it doesn't exisit any more he takes one close to your birthtime which can result in a lot of bs, so yes it is a lot about the money as he doesn't turn people away were the accurate leaf doesn't exsist any more.
