Question One Day in Bangalore

Hello,

Needed some help for a single day that I plan to spend in Bangalore - will be arriving via train from Cochin around 10 am and plan to take the Hampi Express that night @ 10:30 pm.

Couple of questions :

1. Is there a good hotel that we could crash at for a few hours - just need a place to perform daily rituals and take a nap. Obviously I am not looking for a $100 a night hotel, but am looking for one that is clean.

2. What places to see in that time I have. I plan to spend some time in the pub - so thanks for the great info on the Best pub recomendation....

Any suggestions would be much appreciated ...

Dont know if i am a bit too late, but if you just wanna refresh yourself and a place to crash on bed till 10.30 pm in night you can just come out of the railway station and see a few hotel names like Hotel Amar, etc . You can barge into one of them. They are quite cheap and good or you can go to hotel kamat yatrinivas in the same area. That's also pretty good.

As said by iloveindia, u can try kamat yatri nivas or hotel Amar opposite Bangalore city Railway station. Btw, you can even try the TRI COLOUR, above KFC( in the same row). I suggest Tricolour.

For pub you can try Purple haze, Styx etc if you are a music lover. If ur low on music try - the pub world on residency road. If ur looking for cheap booze but decent place with some decent music try Bunkers, Typically on the Brigade road/MG road/residency road area you will have lots of pub.

By your travel plan I dont think u will have much time to see anything. However, you can take a stroll of the Brigade rd/Mg road area.
