Cool manipal hospital bangalore

Namaskar,
Ripped my knee tendons few weeks back, have been staggering around in agony, finally made it to Bangalore for surgery...'

Anyone had dealings with the Manipal Hospital in Airport Rd, Bangalore? Have been told it is the best hospital in the city - is this the case? If you have had surgery there, how was the outcome? (realise it is going to be different for every operation...). I have travel insurance so costs not too much of an issue, just want to know my leg is being cut up at a reputable place.

Cheers. Dil.

Bangalore has a few bigtag hospitals, but a 6 million plus city. Manipal is certainly in the top 3.

Having lived there for about seven years, personally I would go to Manipal for anything.. from a dental cleaning to any advanced medical procedure. I even used to frequent their canteen for the relatively good food.

I would recommend them highly.

I stayed in the neighborhood (Whitefield) and remember Manipal as being a bit of an oasis. Not exactly medical advice, but a good indicator of professional demeanour.... I ate at the canteen too!

Thumbs up

Manipal or Kim's. Both good, and both good food. Kim's is really cheap, and the food exceptional, by the way.
Hope you're on the mend soon, hoppy.

hey, thanks for advice, going for surgery to fix knee cap on wednesday morning in Manipal - Surgeon graduated in sports medicine from Toronto University, sure he has seen plenty of wayward knee caps from Canadian hockey players and skiiers. Will have to ensure I check out the canteen at the hospital, sounds like the spot to eat... cheers. Dil

Wishing you well for fast recovery.

It would be great if you could 'review' your experiences here.

Oh! Maybe we should have a Hospitals section as well as a Hotel section!!!
