late night arrival in bangalore--hotel with pickup?

hi there,
my husband and i are traveling to india for the first time this winter. we'll be arriving in bangalore after midnight, and so i want to arrange hotel with airport pickup in advance. we would like to spend less than US$50 but could go slightly higher if it's going to be necessary for comfort/reliability/ease. we're not into western chain hotels--just basic comfort and a place to get our bearings. would love to be near the city market and/or gardens but not necessary. any recommendations would be much appreciated....thanks!

Some options.

WOODLANDS hotel will be a good option.

You can get a standard AC room for this rate. Its in the city and near to city center etc.

Address

No 5
Raja Ram Mohan Roy Road, Bangalore, 560025
080 22225111
+91 9448068716 - Mobile

Another option is

Hotel empire.(check the link)

Ask for their branches in Church street or Central street. They are very much in the city just next to MG Road. They are cheaper also and are famous for their restaurant attached to this hotel.

Remember

Make sure you ask for the Airport pickup by giving the flight number, your name etc. They will send a cab for you. Just call up again a day or two before leaving from there to make sure they don't miss this. Midnight time is a rush hour there in airport as there are many intl. flight landing and taking off.

have a nice stay!

You do not require $50 to get basic facilities in India. You can try Ginger hotel located inside the ITPL, whitefiled. At $25 per day you get more than basic needs. They have self checkin, swimming pool etc. Also, if you would like you can book online and leave special instruction like your pick up from the airport.

Hi

When we moved to Bangalore we lived three weeks in Ginger hotel in Whitefield but we never saw any swimming pool. And it takes quite a while to drive from Whitefield to city centre. Hotel was OK and personnel was friendly.
