Welcome to Bangalore!
There is plenty to do in Bangalore but of course, it all depends on what you enjoy. I spend much of my free time at the gym keeping fit (or at least trying).
I also spend as much time as I can playing with our 2 cats that we adopted from a local shelter. I also take time out to feed and care for as many of the street dogs that I can. These few passions fill my day (after work, that is) and in fact I wish I had at least 2 more hours in a day to do all of the things that I think are important. I suggest identifying something that you love (like working out, caring for animals, caring for children, photography, trekking, reading, shopping) and then ask on this forum if anyone has suggestions to help you to embark on that passion. As far as meeting people goes, this forum can be helpful but you have to be willing to put yourself out there a bit. As bristi said, there are plenty of IMers here in Bangalore but you might need to go out of your way to try to try to set something up. I'd be game if I knew a bit more about you... Your turn. ![]()

Hi Suzi
Thnx, actually I ve joined a fitness centre near my place n it does help for sure, I ve been also looking into doing volunteering service for educating children who really need it, i ve contacted several NGOs n hope they contact me soon, i guess the only problem that will arise(if any) is the fact that i do not know the local language........
Don't know if that will matter or not. Read about ur liking for pets, I love dogs infact ve 5 of them- 2 german shephards, 2 dobbermen n 1 dalmatian, kinda miss them coz i ve left them at my parents place needed to settle down in Bangalore before getting them here. I would love to help u in ur effort with stray animals, just let me know how? |

Our favorite past time in Bangalore is eating out.... In fact, it's an obsession with a lot of us commonly called as foodies. Fortunately, there is no dearth of restaurants in this city- from Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, You name it…Bangalore has it. All you may have to do is, take some time out to decide on what you want to eat, where you want to eat and how far you are willing to tickle your taste buds. We quite often come across restaurants serving specific dishes from tasty pork chops to super sized steaks, name it and you will find it here in Bangalore.
