Smile hi

Hi Nick,
thanks for replay. Yeah I come here to work, actualy I am about to open a branch or Liaison Office for firm I am working for.
If everything goes smooth I will be staying here for a long period, maybe few years. It all comes to bussines after all, so if things turn up right it will be long if not it will be a few months stay.
From your profile I see you are in Chennai, how is there? What kind of city it is? Is Chennai developing so well as Bangalore? I am asking about because we are planning to open offices across all India, offcourse in suitable time.
Was nice reading your post, thanks again and "see you" soon.

Hi AlienJ,

Hope you have settled down in Bangalore by now.

Check out the following website which seems to have information about the expatriate community:

http://www.bangalore-expatriate-club.com/index.asp

Of course no idea how it is, but do go through their website and try them out.

Not sure what your interests are but you might find the following link interesting:

http://www.bangalorewalks.com/

Enjoy

Lots of stuff about Chennai, positive and negative, on this site.

If it develops like Bangalore, I'm moving out!

But it is getting more modern, and the IT and BPO industries are growing fast.

You can always try the India Mike Meetup Thread. Not sure about B'lore meetups, but feel free to start one of your own.

Good luck!

My friend who suggested this place never told me about the criteria, Shanthi. Considering that I am an Indian, you can imagine where I fall under this "club"/clique, or whatever it should be called!

I have no idea what does they want to give you a membership of the club. But I tell you even the Bangalore Club (the oldest one) respond promptly to my questions. Yes you have to wait over there for membership a long years, but they give the whole explanation in very nice way.
I think BEC is just a fake organisation.
If I insulted anybody please excuse me, but my feelings are like this after such a treatment.
