Hotel in Bangalore

Any suggestions for a med cost (IR not US$) hotel for a late night arrival in Bangalore next week. Preferable one safe for single female traveller.
I've heard that the bombay ananda bhavan is closed for renovations, and I'm getting a failed delivery on emails to the Prasanth. What about the Vybhav or Ajantha or Brindavan lodges?
Better/safer to stay near the station or MG rd?
TIA
Jo

Ajantha or Brindavan would be better. But these being popular, especially, with frequent travellers , suggest you to book in advance.

I checked into the Ajantha Hotel today (rooms 360 rs. incl. tax) for a single which was available without prior reservation. The hot water is from 5-10am, includes a TV but no showerhead (only bucket).. Hotel seems well kept and clean, has a cybercafe for 30rs/hour located in the courtyard-- seems to be centrally located to some.. shops.

I know that there are many boys who chase you with magnetic chess boards in Brigade - MG road junction !!! So how long you are going to be in town ?

chess

Hey Sudheer,

I'll be in town for the next few days. I haven't managed to find much chess competition, although you'd think with everyone selling chess boards it would be a more popular game. I'd like to check out the Bangalore nightlife (and the Bangalore women) but I think its more fun going with someone, you up for getting a few beers?
