Hotel for 1 night in Bangalore

My flight arrives around midnight on August 6. I'm looking for a hotel for 1 person for 1 night around 1000 - 1500 rps.

I will be leaving to Hospet at 2230 by train the next night so would like something not too far from the train station. Since I'm arriving late at night and departing at night, it would be great if the hotel had 24 check-out so I could keep the room until I leave, but that's not essential.

I will be spending the day exploring Bangalore. Looking at the guidebook, it seems MG area is the best place to be based. Correct?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,
Try the Hotel Ajantha. It is just off MG Road about a 10-15 minute walk east of Brigade Road. We used it last time for the day before flying out of India. Less than 1000Rp from memory and it operated a 24hr check out.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I sent a reservation request through Ajantha's website about 4 days ago. Never got a response.

Since I'll be arriving late a night, I went ahead and booked Ocea International on Brigade Road through Make My Trip. No idea if it'll be ok.

Yeah, I know! I have found email reservations in India pretty hit and miss - sometimes you will get a response, sometimes not. I can only guess that they don't regularly check their mail. Best of luck with your hotel and enjoy your trip.

If you are with family ! You may avoid Majestic area, its infamous for night time activities.

Thumbs up stay in BTM/Koramangla

Hi,

I will suggest you to stay in BTM/Koramangla area. Avoid staying in Majestic. In BTM there is one Vijay Residency and Atithi Kutir which can offer you descent rooms in Rs 1000. MG Road and Brigade Rd is also nearby to BTM.

Regards

BTM/Kormangala would be a bad choice as its near to neither the Airport or the Train Station. (@rajdeep : All due respect)

Majestic (Center of the city, Train Station is in this area and so is the Main bus terminus (Kempagowda Bus stop) is a good choice, However hotels are not no swanky. Else Hotels near brigade would be a good choice. Al long as you inform them earlier in advance most hotels would allow for a Late Night check-out and check-in.

and

are reliable websites to book hotels online.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I ended up staying at Ocea International on Brigade. I booked it through MakeMyTrip.com. I think it was about 1800 rps, including breakfast and taxes. They have 24 hour checkout, so it worked out very well for me.

The hotel was pretty good. I would recommend it for others. Not sure how the price compares to other hotels in the area, but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast wasn't much though.
