Check the Bangalore catering college (full name Institute of Hotel Management IIHM). Usually these colleges have short courses.

one day cooking class for foreigners

Does nyone know half-day or one-day "Indian" cooking courses for foreigners? or any courses taught in English?

I am visitng B'lore in Jan for a short holiday....and I have no intention of doing too much sightseeing (This is my 3rd time visiting B'lore)

I visited the website of Institute of Hotel Management...but they don't seem to have any short courses.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Also, let me know what you love to do or where you want to visit (cafe, restaurants, etc) with your friends on weekends!

I just would like to relax during my holiday and do something locals do.

Just check the local newspaper classifieds (Times of India??).You would find quite a few ads. for cookery classes. Atleast I hve seen them in Bangalore (i.e., here).
