Cleaning lady

Hi All,

In August we are moving from Bangalore to Goa. Unfortunately, Rajamma our cleaning lady can not come with us as her two sons live in Bangalore and they do not want her to go.

She has been working with us for three years and has been great which is the reason why I am trying to get her a new job.

Rajamma has been very reliable, honest and hard working but unfortunately she speaks no English. Nonetheless, with a little bit of patience (and everybody that knows me knows I have only very, very little patience) she will understand most things. She does speak Tamil and Kannada so can do shopping and other errands

She has been sick only once in the past three years, never complains and does not have that nasty habit of gossiping with all other staff in the area. Once she know what is expected she can work independently and needs no supervision. She handles dogs well and, since she brought up to boys I guess children as well.

For us she sweeps and mops the whole house and office every day, washes windows, cleans the bathrooms, washes the cars and keeps the tiny garden.

I never asked her to cook but since she is clever and very keen I am sure she can learn if that is necessary. I highly recommend her and would be only too pleased to see she gets a good job.

So anybody who knows a place for her to work in Bangalore please let me know.

In this instance I just can't bring myself to complain about advertising on IM.

Hope Rajamma gets a nice place to work
