Christmas in Bangalore
Hi all,
This is my first post and as I am about to move to Bangalore to work I thought its about time ![]() Me and my girlfriend will be moving to Bangalore shortly and were wondering where the best places would be to celebrate xmas this year. Does anyone have any good suggestions for expat bars, and/or restaurants that would have some good Christmas atmosphere this year? Thanks and looking forward to some warm weather Iain |

Well, lots of restaurants will be doing some sort of Christmas meal. The Only Place, a restaurant on Museum road off or Church Road, gets a lots of expats for this and other holidays.
Also be sure to get some plum cake, the local version of fruitcake. The ones at All Saints (a grocery on Brigade Rd), Nilgiris, and Koshy's are all good. For bars, I wish someone would tell me. Many bars are likely to have something going on, but I'm not sure which will have that extra Christmas touch. Here are the plum cakes on display last year at All Saints: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/166/3...816084.jpg?v=0 |
