I of course, voted for Pecos because of the music. Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Bib Dylan, Steely Dan, CSNY, Bob Marley, Grateful Dead, Phish, Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull.. I can spend hours there listening.

How are the pubs and clubs of Bangalore compared to Bombay? I've never been to Bangalore, and am quite curious about the nightlife of the booming city.

Each has there own qualities I think. In my experience the dancing in Bangalore is wilder. Personal favourite Pub - The Pub World. For those not familiar, the main bar in the middle is surround by four themed drinking areas; a German Beer Hall (beer served in tankards), a Manhatten cocktail lounge (note the painted skyline on the wall), a Western Saloon (complete with the obligatory swinging doors), and a traditional English pub ('The Red Lion'). It's fun to do a mini-crawl drinking the appropriate drink in each area. They play great music and keep enough enthusiastic staff to man the Titanic. |

Well in terms of ambiance and look in think - H2O resto bar is a good one. But I am not sure of the music they play. When I visited it was early in the evening and they were playing light music. Have a look at the aquarium themed table here

I love Pecos... I am starting to like Legends of Rock (Kormangala 80 ft road) even better. More comfy but noisy yes... But music is fab both the places.

I like Sherlock Holmes. You can sit outside on the 1st floor. I prefer not to smoke while drinking. ;-)
I think Pecos is filthy dirty. Good music, but man that place could use a good scrub. |
