Bangalore to Goa.
Hi I am due to arrive in Bangalore 31st Oct 09. We are hoping to go to Goa where we have accomodation booked. my questions are.
What alternatives do I have to get from Bangalore to Goa? Would it be best to sort out travel arrangements when we are in Bangalore. ( staying about 4 days )? And finally what would be the cost? Obviously this would vary depending on times and mode of travel, but a general 'rough idea ' would help in making a decision. Thanks in anticipation Dave. Ps I have tried to find it on the site before posting this but to no avail. |

There is an option to travel either by Air or by Train or by bus. use ixigo.com to fina the time taken , cost and availability of each of the options.

its better to book the tickets ahead if u planning by air or train.
if u plan to take a hired cab or tourist bus, then u can do that when u r here.i guess for bus it cost less than 1000 per head. |

There are two KSRTC Volvo buses from Bangalore to Goa, departing Bangalore 18:00 and 19:30. Travel time is around 13 hrs and per seat cost around Rs 800/-
There are no direct trains from Bangalore to Goa. You would have to catch a train from Yeshvanpur Junction or Krishnarajapuram Check www.erail.in for trains |

Yep, trains 3 days a week leave around 15:30 from memory - you can alight at Madgaon or Vasco. Train is better than the bus, and more likely to run to time.
