Bangalore Street Food and Darshini's: Where are the best?

Discussion questions:

Where do you go for the street food? What food is the specialty?

What are the best darshini's in town?

My initial comments:

Street food: It's not really street food, but I really like the Koshy's chat bar on Brigade Road, just near the Bata store. They have good chat (masala puri, pani puri) there, and very good vada pav.

Darshinis: I love Adigas. They have locations all over town, and every one of them has high food quality standards. Their onion dosa is more like an Utthapam in that it's fluffy and thick. They grill the onions side to a nice caramel color, which is heavenly.

The place to go is 'Food Street' in VV Puram!

Thanks for the "clue".

Doubting highly that this place is actually called "Food Street", or that the neighborhood is actually named VVPuram, I found it anyway... Shettra Beedi or Shettara Bidi

It appears to be south-east of the traffic circle named Sajjan Rao Circle.

Google Maps Location

and VV Puram is known to mapmakers as Vishweshwara Puram in case you want to find something there ever again online.

Now... were I to go there, which vendors would you recommend? Or what dishes in particular?

The Masala Pepsi sounds like a winner. ;-)

This is a nice South Bangalore Food Tour map. Looks like a good Saturday project for me.
