Bangalore rocks! ?

Are you a metal fan? Does Bangalore rock, in your experience? I recently was informed that it has a budding Heavy Metal scene.

No idea really (there appears to be some fanship all across India, and has been for quite some time). Bangalore's nightlife is said to be not what it used to be, in any event. Stricter closing hours and such.

If you mean you're going over there and would like to check it out, some tips here might help you along on the ground: Cultural events listings, nightlife, going out, calendars, schedules.

Thanks for the reply and info! A pity about the new closing times! But, maybe that does not matter too much, as for safety reasons I dont want to be out too late at night, while I am in India. Or maybe taking taxis in Bangalore at night is reasonably safe?

Here is a discussion I started about this on another travel site. Ill be going to India next May, so plenty of time to hopefully gather names of any good metal spots in Bangalore.

Has anyone reading this visited any of the bars that play metal in Bangalore?
