Hi dalia,
Iskon temple is beautiful in the evenings, Sadashivanagar park is also good with walking tracks and boating facilities, commercial street is very colorfull in the evenings. If you can spend one full day mysore is also worth visiting with brindavan gardens. |

If you can spare one full day (at least), the 12th century Hoysala
temples in Belur and Halebid are sights not to be missed. You'll surely remember them for the rest of your life! They are about 220 kms. from Bangalore. You could try the KSTDC 1-day tour for a glimpse (not much more). Or better still, arrange a 2-day (weekend) trip if you can manage it. Here is a photo gallery link to see what to expect. There is also a lot of info at Indiamike itself. http://www.pbase.com/rlankenau/belur__halebid |

Hi,
Since you are staying in MG Road, you can go to Brigade Road or move on to other areas like Bangalore Central. During weekend its always best to catch up with like minded people and go in group rather alone if you are travelling to out skirts of the city. It will save money as well and its also safe... Sam |

I went this Sep 2009 and had a good experience at the Nagerhole National Park nearer to Mysore. I took Volvo Bus from Bangalore to Hunsur and they picked me up from this sleepy town of Hunsur. Spent 10 days, since I was on a month long trip. Had the time to spare and it was well worth it. I used Jungle Inn though there are other operators. www.jungleinn.in Time is what you need to have and if not please take the time to explore the area (whatever you do) and not just work.
