Bangalore Airport, Internet?
Hi all
It's possible I may need urgent access to the net before I board a night flight to Thailand in November. Could anyone please advise if there is an internet facility (24hrs) at the airport? If not, anywhere nearby, say within 30 minutes taxi ride... Thanks! |

Bump, bump...
Can anyone help at all? Or perhaps supply a telephone number or website address that may be able to help me? Cheers! |

Hm, no idea. Try http://www.airportsindia.org.in/allAirports/blr_gi.jsp (open during business hours, it is now) for starters, I'll fill in a few more URL's in a sec.
Edit: another usual suspect would be http://www.toandfromtheairport.com/karnataka.html#BLR , but I don't think it helps you on this one. If you follow the "links" link in my signature you'll find some other useful sites, but again, not so sure on this particular question. Hopefully some Bangaloreans will be around presently. Good luck with it ps That first site should certainly supply you with phone numbers to enquire with. It mentions some cybercafe, but no opening hours, but you could dig around some more there.

pps That cafe they mention is at http://www.cafecoffeeday.com/stores-....htm#Bangalore , still no opening hours, but directions all over the place at least (but I can't be sure their other branches do internet).
They mention some Wifi business as well depending on what terminal; my guess is you'll manage somehow, but that's arguably no more than a guess. Hey, the joys of travel! It's India's famed IT hub if this makes you feel better, although I'm not sure if this guarantees anything. My last visit to some supposedly modern and cosmopolitan airport was, um, decidedly off-putting. |

Yes, the CCD has internet access for maybe 40 rs per hour. Or if you have a laptop, you can purchase a 1 hour coupon for wireless
There should be lots of them outside the airport. So when you exit the airport, you will have to take a straight road to reach the main road. A T point baiscall, turn left and the city will start.

Sorry, no internet at bangalore airport. Not sure why they never thought of it. Even railway stations have internet facility these days.
