We stayed for two weeks in Koremangala which is about half an hour's rikshaw ride from Brigade Road and MG Road... the place was called The Koremangala Residdency Hotel (sic) and we just showed up. Got rooms for 1325 rupees a night for a double so it was pretty cheap but a decent place to stay.
