The Airport Taxi(Model: Logan) available outside the Bangalore Airport will cost you INR 15/- per KM. From MG Road it should be around 43 KMs.

I went to the airport from the MG road and back yestreday.. it took 1.5 hours on the way and 1 hour on the way back. I have also done it in the middle of the night. I paid 15 Rups per KM.

Easycabs are good and have a meter that works

Just 20 mins? I think you still have the HAL Airport in your mind. Now Bangalore has got a new Airport for civilians and one hours is minimum to/from there.

Meru Cabs and Easy Cabs have decent service

Cabs from Airport to Town

There are loads of cabs at the new airport day and night and you can just take them on the meter. They are run by Merucabs (which you can book online) and City Taxis.

During the day they charge 15rs per km but at night its 18rs per km. Usually Meru charges a minimum of 6kms and City 10kms but form the airport to the city its between 37 and 42kms as previously stated so this is irrelevant!!

Travel time during the day is between 1 hour and 1.5 hours depending on traffic (look out for rally's and protests cos it will be much longer) but during the night it can be around 30mins straight shot from town... 20mins would be pushing it tho!!

Agree - used it a few weeks ago to Majestic, first time Bangalore - took no more than 40 minutes at around midnight. They run from directly in front of the airport entrance about 60 metres.

Used it myself a couple of months back (with my reservations ofcourse). However these work like a charm. Gets you almost anywhere you want to in the city and they are not uncomfortable.
Not sure about the timings of these buses at night though...

"Not uncomfortable" is an understatement. They are pretty good for a city bus and the service runs 24/7 almost, but thins out between 2am & 5am as there wont be too many flights landing/pax for these buses. But in general, there should be a bus leaving there every 15 mins to common areas in the city and individual routes at a rate of 30mins/60mins (depending on where it is supposed to go). Even at 11.30pm, we take the bus & not the cab to our home (ours, not everyones )

BMTC's BIAL Service is a
