Apartment hunting
Hello,
I am starting to look for nice areas to live in Bangalore. I was wondering if you have any recommendations? I am looking for a safe area with shops near by. My work will be based in Koramalanga. So hopefully not to far from there. Also I was wondering what type of shops are there in Bangalore. Are there department stores? CD shops? Book stores? Are there any shops that sell asian foods? Any other advice you might have on living in Bangalore would be helpful. Thanks |

Hey Hoshii,
Welcome to Bangalore. The company that you are employed with should help you locate an apartment to stay in. And, don't get so anxious. Once you get into the city, and settle at ur new home, you can explore the shopping scene here. There are all kinds of stores - malls, department store chains, super markets, discount stores, metro, platform shops..grocery stores...everything. You will enjoy. Don worry. |

Victoria layout,Indiranagar & Domlur are other areas you could try. Close to the ring road to K'gala and accessible by both buses and autos.
Even better, if there's a strike , you could still walk home in 45-80 minutes from K'gala. |

Thanks for all of the advice.
Yes my company is going to take care of my place. But from my previous experience it doesn't hurt to do a little poking around before you move. So you have a little idea of the areas you might want to live in. By asian foods I meant groceries. My wife is Japanese and she likes to cook a lot of Japanese foods. Thanks for all the advice. This site is fantastic! |

Does anyone here have any experience with apartments from www.ittinagroup.com? Mainly I am inquiring about the quality of these apartments? Are the walls thin? Is the eletricity reliable?
Any info is appreciated. Thanks |
