Accommodation - 1 night in Bangalore, Recommendations Please

Hello.

I am arriving into Bangalore on an international flight from New Zealand. I need to find accommodation for 1 night that is clean, safe has a good reputation and offers meals (Vegetarian).
The flight is arriving later in the evening 10pm, so an Airport Transfer as part of the Hotel would be a bonus.
I need to catch the Train the next day to Mysore, so close to the Train Station would also be desirable.
Budget is under 4000 INR's

Thanks very much for any help or suggestions offered.
Cheers.

I dont know how far away the hotel is from the train station but I ALWAYS ONLY use hotel ramanashree , richmond circle. I love that place and the people are amazing. I think I paid 4500r. superb place I never have enough good things to say about them. Check them out on tripadvisor if you would like. I went from their to Mysore as well, but took a bus. Good luck and safe travels.

Hi,
this is a good hotel close by to the railways station
Fortune Park JP Celestial, Bengaluru

Please also check these hotels
1, Goldfinch Hotel 1 1/2 mms from the station.
2, The Atria Hotel - this is a good hotel but 2 kms from the station
3, The Solitaire - 1 1/2 kms to the station
4, Ramanashree hotel 3 kms from the station
5, Hotel chalukya 3 kms to the station but very very good south indian restuarant
Go thru their web sites and in case you require any more info please post ,

You need to stay near City railway station if you are planning to catch a train to Mysore as most trains start from City railway station(Majestic area) for Mysore.

Fortune hotels is near Cantonment railway station.

You can probably consider Kamath Yatri Nivas hotel in Majestic and is walking distance to City railway station. Its a budget hotel with good Vegetarian food.

Hi Kumar,

Was not aware that there is another one near Anand Rao circle and I think Kamat yatri nivas's needs a refurbishing as the hotel looks pretty old.

Cheers!

Volvo Bus No 9??

Hi again.

Is it possible to take the Volvo Bus No 9 from BIA into town ( I think it terminates at "Majestic KBS")

Is this close to the "Golden Landmark Hotel" ??

Hi,
Yes you can take the bus no 9 and then take an auto to your hotel
But i advise Fortune Park JP Celestial, Bengaluru to be a better hotel.

OK - If I have one day to spend in Bangalore, what would you recommend I do?? Is it possible to do a 1 day tour of the city taking in all the major sights??

Bus or Train to Mysore - which is the preferred option?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,
Bangalore to mysore has got one of the most luxurious buses and trains in india, specially buses are the best in india. The buses will take 3 hours where as shatabdi train takes roughly 2 hours. It depends upon your liking.
I would prefer to spend that one day in mysore than bangalore.
