24 Hrs in Bangalore with my family

I will be arriving Bangalore on 21/Aug 15:00hrs and leave 22/Aug 15:00hrs.

I am accompanied with my wife and son.

Our interests are:
1) Shopping like Saree, Shalwar Khamis, Lungi etc.,
2) Site seeing the city historical places
3) Visiting the natural beauty locations

I would like to have your suggestions, and a budget hotel to stay that would be convenient for our airport transfer and shopping etc locations.

1) There are lots of shopping areas , some of the best are in Majestic (near to Bangalore City Rail station) , M.G. Road & Brigade Road , or nearby Commercial Street in Shivajinagar.

2) You can checkout the small trips arranged by organizatons like KSTDC (govt), generally it covers a few places

3) There is hardly any scope to visit somewhere within one day , maybe Bannerghata National park / or Nandi Hills in the morning.

You can book easycabs,merucabs ( available online) or avail the BIAL bus service ( lots of em at 15:00 hrs) . City is minimum 1 hour drive from airport so plan accordingly.

you can stay in BTM-Koramangla area. In BTM there is one descent hotel Vijay Residency....within Rs1000 dbl bed occupancy.

Smartcard,

Shopping - Any of the malls - Forum, Gopalan mall, Garuda mall, and of course commercial street, MG road, and brigade road.

Site seeing - Vidhana soudha, lalbagh, nandi hills - relatively nearer to the airport....

budget hotel to stay - hotels like brindavan, ajanta, ramanashree on mg road and are in some sense downtown locations. Am not aware of their tariffs though.
