Is 1 day enough to visit Guwahati?

I have a plan to visit all Guwahati sightseeing(including Kamkhya-Bramhaputra etc.) within 1 day. Is it possible to see all in that day??

You also can visit Vashishta Ashram 12 k.m far from Guwhati.it is an enchanting place that is worth visiting.

If What you want to do is just "mark your attendance" and come back, Yes.

Why spend more time traveling to a place and back than enjoying that place itself.

I also had only one day in Guwahati. I visited Kamkhya Temple and also Umananda Temple which is on a riverine island in Brahamaputra. Even though (Ambuvachi festival was on at that time, I didn't feel much problem, except humidity which drained me.....

But there are numerous other places to see....

There is Amubasi Mela(fair) going to start day after tomorrow(22 June)at Kamkhya in Guwhati(Assam).more than 10,000 devotees and tantric sadhus would come over there.Ambubasi Mela is also known as Ameti or Tantric fertility festival and is a four days mela

My friend, the expected no. of devotees + sadhus is around 7,00,000 (seven lacs). It was 5 lacs last year.

Kamakhya Devi temple is one of the 4 Adi Shakti peeths of India. It is said that anyone who wishes to achieve 'Siddhi', can do so by meditating and doing the Puja during this time at the 'Neelachal hill' upon which Maa Kamakhya temple is located.

Although I do not believe in such things , but I have seen the weirdest of people and incidents taking place during Ambubachi mela over the years

Almost all the Tantrics from the country arrive here and indulge in deep Meditation + Tantric practices.
