Tawang, Khaziranga during October 2012

All,
I plan for a Tawang, Khaziranga trip from 13rh October 2012. Need help to plan the trip. My questions are:
1. Is it a good time to visit Tawang?
2. Will Khaziranga be open by then? If not what other places can I visit?

Absolutely a good time to go to Tawang.Weather would be clear.
Kaziranga would be open at that time.

Thanks cutiepie. Since I will have about 10 days time, do you have any suggested iternary? How are the Brahmaputra Cruises?

10 days including travel?

Yes. I plan to fly in and out of Guwahati. I can add one or two days if is required.

Ok.. I am proposing a plan. Since it would take a couple of night halts to reach Tawang, you would have to stay at Bhalukpong and Bomdila/Dirang for a night each.

Day 1 - Guawahati to Bhalukpong
Day 2 - Bhalukpong to Bomdila/Dirang
Day 3 - To Tawang via Sela
Day 4 - Sightseeing in and around Tawang
Day 5 - Bumla Pass/ Madhuri Lake
day 6 - Zemithang
Day 7 - Tawang to Dirang/Bomdila
Day 8- To Kaziranga
Day 9 & 10 - Kaziranga

I do not have experience of Brahmaputra Cruise. So wouldnt be able to comment.

kaziranga wont be open at that time. its official time is 1st november and moreover as floods have occured theres no chanc of early opening. you can try nameri tiger reserve which is adjacent to bhakulpong a place where you shall visit. Or else try out manas national park that too is in assam and near guwahati.

Kaziranga opens from mid October as far as I know.

no sir it opens from 1st f november. they are in heaviest rainfall zone hence it opens late than the rest of the park closest earliest.u cn ask for assam tourism to verify
