Arunachal Pradesh

Hi all,
as I am still planning my winter holiday, Arunachal Pradesh came into my mind.
So I have some questions about:
Where is the best place to apply for the ILP or the PAP (I´m holding a german passport)? How long does it take and how much does it cost? How long will be the permit remain me to stay in AP. Also multiply entry possible? Additional it seems that I need other Permits for Assam or so to enter AP overland? Any suggestions? Would it be better to organize all needed permits in Delhi, where I probably arrive in India. And whats the best way to reach the eastern part via Delhi. Flight to Ghuwati? Or is there any other better located airport close by? Are there any regulations that allow to travel only with organized tour? I will travel independent, is it a problem for officials?
Any route suggestions: Tawang road? Ziro road to Along and beyond? Are there some closed areas?
Anythingelse what is worth to mention about?
Thanks for your help,
chris

Hey,
thnx for that link!
Does anyone know how much is the PAP/ RAP for non- Indians. On the official website of AP tourisms it is mentioned with 50usd/ 30days, but somewhereelse I was told the fee is up to 140usd/ 3odays. This costs will be for the whole group or per pax?
Also will it be easy to get a PAP/ RAP for individual travellers. Heard about that agencies refuse the service to get the permits, when not booking a tour with them, so will it easy to apply alone in eg. Guwahati?
cheers chris

Hi,
For ILp, Arunachal state govt has offices in Mumbai, Delhi, kolkata, Guwahati, Tezpur & other places. ILP issued from Tourism sections of these offices. It takes a day & cost is Rs.20 per head for Indian citizen. Hope u don't have to face much hazard too.
You can take Bhalukpong-bomdila-dirang-tawang (Western Arunachal) route (300 kms - one way). Entry point will be Bhalukpong from Tezpur/Guwahati (Assam).
I took this route in Feb,2011....it's wonderful. Only thing you will miss orchids & flowers.
