Gurudongmar Lake is not GreenLake
Hi,
Nice reading ... I have been there twice and in my second visit I went beyond Gurudongmar to the Cholamu Lake (at 18000 ft +), the source of the river Teesta. I would like to point out one thing here - Gurudongmar and Green Lake are not the same - infact Green Lake is not a lake in the true sense. People who have trekked till there knows why... ![]() Check www.cholamulake.blogspot.com - for my trip to Gurudongmar and beyond. Regards himalcrazy |

Gurudongmar lake is not Green Lake
Green lake is situated towards Jemu glacier. Previously Kanchenjungha expedition was carried out through this rout.

Practical details?
It sounds incredible, I'd love to know how you arranged everything - did you hire the car? Where did you sleep? How much did it all cost? etc.
Thanks! |

The place is truly amazing. I had been there almost 2 yrs back when I had covered Yumthang as well. I really wish I could camp near Gurudongmar and spend a moonlit night there
