I'm also planning to visit Gurudongmar in between 20-27th Aug, 2011. Please help as I couldn't find anyone to guide me at that point of time.

been there once.. was one of the best time of my life... it is so serene, beautiful and pristine.. awsome...
i wouldn't recommend taking kids. the climate is too cold and the air is so thin. they might have breathing difficulties...

We are contemplating a tour to North Sikkim including Gurudongmar in April,2012.Can any friend tell me the present condition of the road of the North Sikkim after the earth quake.Will it be possible to tour North Sikkim at that time?

we are all about 25 years old....
Itenery
28th - board darjelling mail from sealdah
29th - njp to gangtok ( roaming around local areas)
30th - rumtek monastry- tashi view point - all local sigh seeing
31st- baba mandir-tsangu lake-nathula - transfer to lachung
1st - lachung to yumthung valley - zero point - transfer to lachen
2nd - lachen to gurudongmar- transfer to gangtok
3rd - gangtok - darjeeling in the morning at view local sight seeing
4th - tiger hills- batasia loop -
5th- local view points - transfer to njp and board kanchankannya express
