Hi Saurabh,

4th Aug to 8th Aug,
Tuesday to Saturday.

I'll answer only for the question, i.e., 1 day in Mysore and then Shirdi. If you have other plans checkout other replies in this forum for Ooty, Coorg, Bandipur etc.

Mysore,

Assuming that you have your own transport/booked a taxi for
Mysore,
Start early from Bangalore (around 5 AM,

Srirangpatna - 115 kms frm Blore,(arrive here by 7 AM, visit gosaighat, sangam as river cauvery is flowing majestically now and rangnathswamy temple, I won't suggest bird sanctuary at this time of the year and you need do not have time, others places here are waste of time, leave this place by 9:30 AM)

Option 1:
Head straight to Gopalswamy hills also known as Himavad Gopalswamy Betta (takes 2 hours from Srirangpatna, 80 kms from Mysore, 10 kms before Bandipur on the mysore-ooty route, you'll reach here by 11:30 AM.. Stay for an hour, relax, enjoy nature and start to Mysore at 12:30 PM). My personal choice, go for the above option.

Option 2:
Visit Karanji Lake and Mysore zoo(holiday on Tuesdays) till 2 PM.

Around 2 PM to Mysore, have lunch buffey at either Hotel Metropole or at Hotel RRR, visit the Mysore Palace (between 3PM to 5PM).
You'll not be able to see the grandly lit Mysore palace, as it's done only on Sundays between 7PM to 8PM.

Once you are done with Palace, head to Chamundi Hills. All tourists visit the hills during day time, due to which they miss one of the best views in the world. I've been watching Mysore City being lit up from top of the hills for 15 years now and believe me.. it's amazing. Visit the temple (open from 7 PM till 9PM), get blessings, start to Blore around 9 PM.

Shirdi,

Everything is taken care, you need not plan.

As I am not to pressed to go to sridi , If there can be better places where I can visit near banglore please suggest , I want to utilize the time best not in travelling here and there.

Go visit Hampi. You can either drive down or take a train and spend 2 - 3 days there and return back.
Or go to Ooty for a couple of days from Mysore.
Could also do Somnathpura, Sringeri etc.

According to me you have 3 altenatives
1) You can visit belur, halebed, sravanabalagola, mysore
2) mysore, ooty
3) hampi, pattadakal, aihole, badami
Please remember that your train rajdhani express does not travel to delhi via shirdi(copergau)
