Hi N Kumar,
Thanks a lot. Most of my queries are answered. When you were not available, I chanced upon the JLR website ( http://www.junglelodges.com/) and mailed them my queries. The answers are identical.

The forest dept story gave hope that I can do the safari in Bandipur, even if I am not staying at JLR. Can you tell me the Safari timings by Karnataka forest departmnet ? Do they arrange safaris in jeeps (like JLR), other than buses ?

Hi rudra,
I am not very sure about the timing of safari's from the forest dept but roughly it will be early morning somewhere around 6 am, 7 am and in the evening it should be around 3.00 and 4.00pm.
Forest dept does not arrange safari's like JLR in jeeps.

Hi,
Sorry for this long absence. I was away and then there was Durga Puja.
In the meantime I have got all my tickets. Though the First class tickets for the Toy train to Ooty is in the waiting list(3 to 9). What do you think ? Is there any chance of their be confirmed ? To be on the safe side I have also bought tickets for 2nd Sitting in the same train.
Tomorrow I will be going to my local TTDC Office to book the TTDC Hotel in Ooty (Charring Cross).

Yesterday booked the Hotel Tamilnadu in Ooty (Located on Charring Cross). Do you have any idea about it ?

Hi,
Yes it is a pretty decent hotel, close by to the botanical gardens and shopping centre.
