Hi rudra,
I advice you to skip hydrabad as it will be out of the way and travel to tirupati -bangalore-mysore- madumalai-ooty. Whats your mode of transport ?

Thanks for this prompt reply.
I will be visiting by train and buses or cars.
Can you provide me with a tour plan ?
I will be starting from Howrah ?
Why is it not possible to include Hyderabad ?

Hi rudra,
This is a rough plan :
day 1 = arrive at tirupati and then to tirumala.
day 2 = come back from tirupati, visit the temples at tirupati and catch a night train to hydrebad
day 3 = arrive at hydrabad,
day 4 = hydrabad, and board the night train to bangalore
day 5 = bangalore,
day 6 = bangalore to mysore,
day 7 = mysore
day 8 = nysore to ooty
day 9 = ooty
day10 = You will be still in ooty on the day 10 and you have to come back to bangalore, kovai or any other place and then travel to calcutta.
This is why i said to skip h'bad.
I advice you to come to bangalore directly and then take a apsrtc/ksdtc to visit tirumal/tirupati as you can be sure of your darshan at tirumala.

Kolkota > Hyd > Tirupati > Blor > Mysore > ooty > Mudumalai

From Hyd you can take Train / Bus ( AP Tourism ,incl stay , ticket to Tirumala and temple , Guide ) for Tirupati

Hi N Kumar,
Got your point about leaving H'bad.
This is my rough plan :
Day 1:Boarding at Howrah
Day 2: Train
Day 3: Bangalore
Day 4: Bangalore to Tirupati; Night stay at Tirupati
Day 5: Tirupati to Bangalore
Day 6: Bangalore to Mysore
Day 7: Mysore
Day 8: Mysore to Ooty
Day 9: Ooty

How to return from Ooty to Howrah (Kolkata)?
Is this tour plan OK?
Can I utilise Day 5 by not staying in Bangalore and start onward journey to Mysore?
How can I include Madumalai in this plan ?
How long do I have to stay in Madumalai ?
Also suggest the conveyances from one place to the other.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, missed your post.
But, "Day 1 Gurudev Express from Shalimar (23:00) to Tirupati (03:45) running only on Wednesdays" will not do. Since I intend to start on 24.12.2009, which is a Thursday.
Similarly "Day 10 Guwahati Express from Coimbatore (21:40) to Howrah (10:55) running only on Sundays" will be Saturday(2.1.2010).

Thanks N Kumar. Will think your plan over and get back with my plan.
I think it would be better if I can stay at Ooty for a day more. In that case I would be able to visit Madumalai for a day. What do you think ?
Can you provide me with the time needed for each leg of the journey ?
