Vijayawada: urgent replies required
Hi Friends,
I am in vijayawada right now. I am here for business trip.I will be free from today evening and will be in vijayawada till tommorrow. My train is at 5 pm on thrusday. please suggest me some happening places,things to purchase, where to eat as i love south indian food and other things. I am waiting for ur reply. The Murali Park and the Taj Gateaway hotels have both pretty descent bars. If that can help... Shopping: on the same road as these 2 hotels, that's where the main shops are.
Let me know if you find something "happening" there, I live in Guntur, will be curious to know. Cheers, Mat |

I think you should check out the temple too.
Personally, I find temples can be interesting without a person having to be religious. Isnt Guntur and Vijayawada famous for tobacco? |

Chirala (60kms) and the nearby fishing village of Voderavu would make a great day trip from Vijayawada, Chirala is maybe 90 minutes by train, then Voderavu is 30 minutes by bus, Voderavu is a lovely fishing village full of friendly people who are not used to tourists.
