Vijayawada advice?

Hi All,

I am about to stay in Vijayawada for about 5-6 months for a project. I have never been to Vijayawada before. I haven't stayed in Andhra for some time and the first thing that came to my mind about Vijayawada was food. I am sure Vijayawada is one good place where you get authentic andhra food.

I was hoping if any of you experienced people/localites could suggest which area I should prefer to stay in, approximate costs involved etc.

I am just a single working guy so I don't have too many requirements. I guess a room, kitchen and a bathroom should do it. I have no idea about the rents there. I am looking to rent something with these basic requirements.

Rent 2000-3000
Availability of broadband in the area
Kitchen to cook occasionally
Hot water bath
Availability of good food & shopping nearby

Any helpful advice is much appreciated.
