Taxis from Hyderabad Airport

We are arriving at Hyderabad in a couple of weeks and wondering about taxis from the airport? We're headed for a Hotel in Secunderabad. A couple of questions if anyone can help?

1. How much generally for a taxi from the airport into Secunderabad?

2. Are there buses. Either hotel shuttle buses or public. (It'll be very early morning arrival)

I've also been advised to take dollars and change them into rupees over there for a better deal? Can anyone confirm and also indicate what the going rate is at the moment for dollar rupee transactions in country?

Taxis will cost 500 rupees or so. Prepaid taxis are also available, similar cost.

Shuttle buses charge 150 per head. Terminate at either Hyderabad or Secunderabad. If your hotel is not en route you will have to take some transport from the bus terminus to the hotel.

I wouldn't change pounds to dollars to rupees because there will be a fee on each transaction.
I'd just take a debit card, a credit card and some GBPs for emergencies (in case you can't find an ATM that works)

There are radi taxis at the airport that are about Rs 600 to Secunderabad. I prefer Meru.
