My friend's family has been going to Kanodia Jewellers at 176/B, 1st Floor, Babu Khan Estate in Basheerbagh for decades. I bought some nice pearls from there and they seemed to have quite a wide range of choices and prices. Luckily the ones I liked best were also the cheapest! I think that's the first time that's ever happened to me.

A couple of time I have bought from Mangatrai store at Punjagutta circle.

The store gives upt0 35% discount to buyers of most corporate houses......... you have to display your ID card.......... however I am not sure whether its a gimmick or real thing...........wonder anybody will buy for full price when they are giving 35% discount to most corporate houses

my fave jeweller in Hyd is Magan, i love their selections. they're located in panjagutta and they've got a branch in Begumpet in Srinivas Apartments, right next to the ITC Kakateya Hotel. Make sure you ask for a discount, I've always gotten 20% off. They also do custom jewellery so if you have a specific design in mind, take it along, they'll make it for you.
