Renting an Apartment in Secunderabad

Hi
I plan to move to Secunderabad next week to take up a position with an Indian firm. I have a feeling that I'll be own my own when it comes to searching for a place to live and would really appreciate pointers on what to look for - both good and bad. Looking at some real estate websites, such as Magicbricks, I noticed something called a "booking fee." Does this mean the deposit? How much should I expect to have to pay to move in?
I should note that I hope not to pay more than Rs 12,000 per month.
Thanks
Jim

If your office is in Sainikpuri, Try locating your house either in Sanikpuri or in AS Rao Nagar.

Sainikpuri is such a great place and you are really going to enjoy the place. Have fun

Smile

The rental in AS Rao nagar is at 4-6k rupees a month.

You need pay 2months rental advance amount as deposit. Though this is refundable or adjusted at the last 2 months, better not to expect much on the return of the advance.

Apartment rentals in Secundrabad are cheaper than Hyderabad.

Booking fee is generally for the apartments/flats that you intend to purchase or own during the construction phase.
