Rent in Banjara Hills
Rent in Banjara Hills
Can anyone give me a rough idea of how much the rent would be for a furnished 3/4 bedroom house and a 5/6 bedroom house in Banjara Hills?
Thank you in advance.

Trust you mean Banjara Hills in Hyderabad
.
I have a semi-furnished (all the fixtures, wood false ceiling, lawn and parking in front, living, kitchen, dining, drawing room in the bottom floor and and three bedrooms on the top) house in Banjara Hills and have been getting offers for about Rs.30-40,000.00 per month. Only, I dont plan to rent it out till about JUN/JUL next year.

That's a lot of money.
Rent in Banjara Hills
Thank you Hyderabadi.. Yes, I was meaning Banjara Hills in Hyderabad. That gives me an idea of the sort of rent I'd need to pay. Ideally, I'm looking for somewhere for earlier in the year and fully furnished (beds, fridge, oven, etc). Does anyone have an idea of how much a 5/6 bed house would be?
Rent in Banjara Hills
Hi Kunaram, thank you very much for your response. That sounds quite a good price..so that would be for a 3/4 bedroom appartment in Banjara Hills? Thank you again. Does anyone have e-mail addresses/website adresses of any good real estate agents as I suppose I'd better start looking?
I would like some info on Banjara Hills too.
Apartment rentals et al. One Bedroom, two bedroom, Unfurnished, semi-furnished, anything really for around March 2005.

I wouldnt trust any of the real estate guys. Better to land here, stay in a hotel for a week or two and check out the places. There will be a bunch of things you need to check out: environment, age of building, rent, maintenance, security, water supply esp in summer (very important), accessibility Agree with Gopalk.. don't trust the real estate agent types, and land up here and look around.
Having lived in Banjara Hills in the past, some of it is now crowded and traffic congested, like much of central Hyderabad.
I think Hyderabadi is referring to an independent house, which will be more expensive. Apartments are cheaper.
You could look up www.indiaproperties.com or www.99acres.com for indicative rates. Select "rent" while searching, and keep in mind people are often more greedy on websites.

Rental in Jubilee/ Banjara Hills
Can anybody advise me of what you would pay monthly for a top of the range brand new property with 5/6 bedrooms (furnished/unfurnished) in Banjara/ Jubilee Hills area. Any advice on what roads/ areas should be avoided? What would be the average paid for a family home by an expat family?
Tough to answer, because brand new, 5/6 bedroom, furnished properties for rent .. not too many available, I would guess. Also because its way out of my budget
Off the top of my head, you are looking at 150000 plus or thereabouts, a month, give or take, for a not too well furnished place. I could be out 10/20 percent.
Out of the two, I would prefer Jubilee Hills. Quieter, though further from the centre of the city. However, if the workplace is towards Hitec city or thereabouts, it is closer than Banjara Hills.
A lot of Banjara Hills is now crowded, with traffic snarls on the arterial roads commonplace. Jubilee Hills too, but less so.
Try to stay off these main roads.
All the expats family's I know/knew... all three of them... were staying in places which didnt cost more than 20k a month, unfurnished.

Check out indiaproperties.com and 99acres.com ... though people ask for more on the web.
I may be wrong, but most people building 5/6 bedroom houses now seem to be planning to live in them... there are not too many takers who want to rent such large houses. In India this size of house would be occupied by a joint-family. (more than one related family living under the same roof)
