Rare film showing coronation of 8th Nizam of Hyderabad (1967)

Please check out my video with extremely rare colour footage of the coronation of His Exalted Highness the 8th Nizam of Hyderabad in 1967 -

It shows the coronation in Chowmahalla Palace.

His grandfather, the 7th Nizam, had been the world's richest man prior to Indian Independence.

The 8th Nizam succeeded in 1967 - just a few years before India finally abolished royal titles and privileges! In any case, it seems the 8th Nizam preferred to spend most of his time in Australia rather than Hyderabad.

You will see the main courtyard as well as the grand audience hall with the huge chandeliers and Nizam's throne
