Mypadu Beach, Nellore

Could anyone help me going to Mypadu Beach in Nellore, AP.
I am travelling to Ongole, from there would like to visit Nellore Mypadu Beach.
1.Need help in going there from Ongole, also any place to stay near by the beach, any contact numbers would be helpful.

2.Any Interesting places in Nellore worth visting cause i would be going thereafter to Chennai-Mahabalipuram-pondicherry-chidambaram-tanjavur-trichy-madurai.

3. Also if you know,what could be the Climate in August at these places.

Mypad is located from Nellore at a distance of 25 km. The beach offers cruise and fishing opportunities for tourists. There are quite a few accomodation options, resorts, cottages.

Reg. the climate you can expect heavy rains during the month of August. But it won't be a sudden rain. So you can find the climate in advance from Hindu Newspaper or from any website.

If no rains, weather will be good for your trip.

can you give me an idea about the weather in October? I was told there would be some rains in October too.

We visited Nellore in January during our 2007 trip.
The plan was to take a bus to Mypadu Beach but since we could not find the correct buss station we took a cab. For more details of this see our travel journey.
The bus stops in the village a few km from the beach. The beach was nice and very quit and there where just some stalls for drinks and snacks.

Nellore itself is just an ordinary city with nothing special to do.
In a guide book we read about a bird sanctuary but that was more than 70 km away so we skipped that.

Does anyone know if we have direct buses from Nellore to Pondicherry?

I don't think there are direct busses from Nellore to Pondicherry, but you can easily change in Chennai at the huge (but quite organised) Mofussil busstation (locally known as Koyambedu). Government busses from Nellore should go to Mofussil busstation. Make sure you take an express bus, otherwise you'll stop at every streetcorner... From Chennai it is about three hours to Pondicherry.

We were not active looking for accommodation but I don't think there is anything.
Just some stalls for refreshments.

We are looking at Mypad as a place to crash for a few days after touring.

Googling gets mention of 'numerous hotels and resorts' but nowhere can I find any names, which makes me suspicious.

Vonkla obviously thought therewasn't any....but has anyone got definite info?
