Can anyone recommend a Thali restaurant that is fabulous and kid freindly in Hyderbad? Open on Sunday?
And, is it pretty hard and set, food is only available 12-3 and 7-11pm? Thanks! We are hungry! Last edited by machadinha : Mar 9th, 2008 at 18:55. Reason: moved to create own thread |

Hey barefoot, i hope you're feeling better and you're enjoying your break in hyderabad. Yes I do think that almost all restaurants in Hyderabad have the basic 12-3, and 7-11 timings, but here's one restuarant that I know that is actually open from 11AM - 11PM, its actually a seafood restaurant, but they do have vegetarian and chicken, lamb curries as well. I know they also have a really nice thali, so you may want to check it out.
Fishland Mayuri Lodge Ameerpet Hyderabad - 500016 Tel: 2373-2382 2375-7151 2375-3229 Another one that i've heard that's really good for thali's is Abhiruchi, heres the address for that. Abhiruchi 1-7-274 A SD Road Secunderabad - 500003 Tel: 2789-6565 2789-2227 This one too, i heard is really good and has both veg. and non-veg. thalis. Masala 1100 Road no 36 Jubilee Hills Hyderabad - 500033 Tel: 2355-2255 Hope you enjoy the food!

Hi barefoot4kids,
I Guess the following places have Thalis: - Bombay Vihar in Lifestyle Building, greenlands - Annapurna ( I guess thats the name ) in Ameerpet - a km or so beyond Green Park on the road towards Ameerpet - Malgudi - in Lifestyle Building - Chutneys near Banjara Hills - Taj Mahal restaurant in SD road, Secunderabad ( near Manju theater ). Of these places, I have only been to Malgudi and Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal has a decent Veg Thali, and Malgudi is a south Indian cuisine (veg & non veg ) place - they did have some lunch options, but its not a regular thali place. I believe Bombay Vihar has veg thalis (Bombay/Gujarat style ) and Annapurna has south Indian thalis. I will see if I can get some more info. If any Hyderabadis have been to any of the places I mentioned above, pl comment on the experience.. |

I can't believe I have gained about 10 bs from eating delish food! Thanks for the advice, will be going to try some soon, and I just know I will miss pan and Hyderbad House Biryani the most when I go. I think the kids will miss the biryani too, but more he loads of icecream I have indulged them with sinc it is so hot...
